Throw Back Thursday Quilt

During a holiday season not too long ago, I found this charming Norman Rockwell panel featuring a mailman delivering his santa mail.  He is being chased by anxious kids and a dog.

This fabric panel is quite endearing to me, as my dad was a mailman.  He had many stories of delivering the mail in the snow and being chased by kids and dogs.

I embellished the panel by adding a couple of actual badges of his to the shoulder of the mailman on the panel to make it more authentic.  I also placed one of his USPS pins in the hat.  I love this Christmas wall hanging!

What are you working on Wednesday?

What is the hot project in your crafting space this holiday season?  I seem to focus on one main project every holiday season and customize that project to my gift recipients.

For this year, many of my friends will be receiving a zippered bag with boxed corners and an elastic handle.

This zippered bag is the perfect size to be used for cosmetics or just to carry some essentials when running to the store or walking the dog.  

This zippered bag has many cool features, such as:

Boxed corners which make the bag wider and roomier at the bottom for finding those things that fall to the bottom or to be able to look for something with more ease.

Two inside pockets - one is the perfect size to hold a driver's license and/or a credit card.  The other is sized to fit a phone similar to an iphone 5.

The elastic handle is great for holding the bag and the elastic feature of the handle allows the bag to be held hands free by putting the handle around the wrist.

In addition to each zippered bag, I have made a coordinating tissue holder.
